I would have to say that this Reading was one of the funniest things I have attended in quite some time!

It was held in a very small venue, basically a long narrow room in the basement of a restaurant. The stage couldn't have been more than 8 feet wide. And no, this drag reading was NOT done in drag. We were seated near the back, and w/ the lighting available  the pictures I took unfortunately were of really poor quality.

All of the performers were outstanding! Randy's main role was that of Sheba's older husband...  which he played w/ gusto and a very exaggerated stuffy British accent. He, like others in the Reading also contributed to smaller roles, such as a school boy and a teacher. All the actors also did some narration and scene descriptions... the funniest being reaching and grabbing the air in front of them as they all yelled, "Flashback."

Several actors including Randy were battling fits of laughter. At one point the actor playing Sheba dropped the script which was nothing more than a stack of loose sheets of papers. At one point Sheba was laughing so hard they had to stop the reading to wait for the actor to
catch his breath!

For those of need you who need to know, Randy was dressed in jeans, a brown graphic T-shirt and the heavy cardigan sweater from the QAF convention. I had the chance to speak w/ him briefly outside before the show and he stopped by the table after the show and spoke to my friends and I for a minute or two, before returning to his table and rejoining his friends... including Sara Oliva from last night's Our Hit Parade.

Just the pick-me-up I needed! I haven't laughed that much in a long time!
